My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Caramel is an adult, female, 30 lb, mixed-breed dog (DOB 9-22-21). Caramel loves toys and a game of fetch! Her love for her dollys is only rivaled by her love of a good cuddle. Caramel is so named because she is multiple variations of the caramel color. She has gorgeous light eyes the color of her coat. Caramel has a slightly longer coat than her siblings, we have joked often that she looks like a caramel candy dropped in a barber shop. Caramel comes from the California central valley where she has been fostered in a home with other dogs, both large and small, old and young. She is crate trained, spayed, and up-to-date on her shots. A little caramel will make your life a whole lot sweeter, and she would be your biggest flan. Contact us at howlelujah.rescue@gmail.com for more information.

More about this rescue

Howlelujah Rescue is a small, volunteer run, foster based, all breed, non-profit rescue. All our of work is supported through our adoption fees and donations. We can only rescue as many dogs as we can ethically and safely house and support, so we are always looking for responsible and committed volunteers. We believe that the most effective way of supporting our community is to give back at the community level. In addition to animal rescue, we support our community by working to keep pets with the owners that love them; helping provide food, vaccinations, and low cost spay and neuter options to reduce the the number of animals entering our local county run shelter or being dumped on our streets.
