Hi, my name is Bostyn! I’m about 1 year old and 8 months and 80 lbs. I’m medium energy. I love to chill, but I still have some puppy energy left. Bostyn has been with Bella since 7/2022.
Things that are great about me:
Housetrained
Crate Trained (w/ peanut butter Kong…I’m sure you understand)
Expert at holding down the couch and watching TV
Excellent at riding in a car
Graduated from Petsmart Beginner Obedience (Thanks Edmond Furniture Gallery and the team at Petsmart)
Things I need to continue working on (I am still a big puppy after all…):
Leash manners, I just get REALLY excited/overstimulated
Being better at meeting new dogs (I like buddies, I just need slow introductions)
My parents started fostering me at 7 months old. As said above, I like other dogs but need slow introductions to warm up to them. If you have other dogs, my foster parents recommend picking up bones and feeding me in my crate until you know I am comfortable. Recently my foster parents temporarily housed a stray puppy. Although I was very excited at first, I loved having a puppy in the house and we were best buds.
If you’ve read this far, I hope you’re willing to give me a chance. I’m a really good boy that just needs a bit of love and structure to become the best boy!
Crate Trained: Yes.
House Trained: Yes.
Cats: NO
Children: I LOVE people, but I don’t know how big I am. So probably best with older kids.

More about this rescue
Every year thousands of animals are euthanized or sent home to die because the people who love them cannot afford the cost of veterinary care. Stray and abandoned animals have even fewer options when they are brought into a clinic or veterinary office with no owner to pay for their care.
At The Bella Foundation, we believe that every animal should receive the best possible care regardless of the owner's ability to pay. When an owner brings an animal into a clinic for care and cannot afford the cost, the attending veterinarian can contact The Bella Foundation for assistance. If assistance is given, the owner must agree to volunteer at least 8 hours of their time at a local animal shelter. Stray or abandoned animals are cared for with no stipulation attached.
The Bella Foundation takes the placement of animals in homes very seriously and our goal is to do everything possible to match the right animal with the right animal. Our adoption application can be found on our website.
