Ruger (aka Roo) is a 10 month old Mini Australian Shepherd needing a new home.

Ruger is akc registered, neutered & UTD on shots. Roo is about 32lbs and will grow a little more (so larger than some minis).

Rugar has done well living with a cat and a female dog. However he hasn’t played with other dogs or cats so he might need time to adjust to new animals. Roo hates being crated, but he does well in an open room with a gate up when left alone.

Ruger is very much a puppy and loves to play with toys, chew bones and the water from the hose. He’s learning to fetch and bring back. Ruger loves spending time outside in the backyard with his humans and would do best with a fenced yard so he can play often.

Ruger has serious stranger anxiety. He would do best in a home that does not host a lot of company (or one that is willing to help him slowly through his anxiety when meeting new people). When nervous of strangers he will bark, raise hair and jump - if they keep approaching he will growl. He needs time to warm up. Once he knows you he is very loyal though and will follow you around (he is a Velcro dog and wants to stick by you all day).

There is $200 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions.
