My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Special Considerations: diabetic, no other pets
Meet Marley! This sizeable kitty is very sweet and snuggly with people. Some of his favorite things are belly rubs and feather toys but he really loves curling up on laps! He doesn’t like getting brushed and would do best in a home without other pets, but is otherwise just the friendliest feline. He is diabetic and needs twice daily insulin injections, but he takes them like a champ. He just wants all the attention he can get! If you’re looking for a large and loving cat to cuddle, Marley is your man!
Marley is current on vaccines, neutered and microchipped.

More about this rescue

Founded by Vivian Goldbloom in 2013, Emerald City Pet Rescue exists to rescue abused, neglected, and homeless animals from high-volume shelters around the country.

We pride ourselves on providing the best medical care possible for our rescued animals and rehabilitating hard-to-adopt animals to help them increase their chances of finding loving homes.

Our screening process includes meet and greets, reference checks, and a visit to the potential owner’s home to ensure the home and family are compatible with the pet’s needs and our requirements. We do everything we can to ensure that loving homes are found for these amazing pets.

Emerald City Pet Rescue is run by dedicated staff and volunteers who give their time and resources to house, train, rehabilitate, and care for our animals. Above all else, we truly believe that Love Can Save Lives.
