Luna Lou is a smart and loyal dog. She definitely fits many Basenji and Ibizan hound characteristics - our guess is she is a mix - larger than a pure bred of either breed. AKC lists some of the top Basenji character traits as: independent, smart, and poised. This is Luna! We think she likes having an activity or job to do like most Ibizan hounds. She LOVES catch, frisbee, or "nose work" games to find her favorite stuffed monkey toy. She would make a wonderful companion for an individual or or couple who wants a dog who likes to go on walks or hikes, plays frisbee, and takes well to training. She is looking to please and will be on the alert for your next signal to tell her what you would like her to do. She would like a quiet home life and while she can be very well-behaved around children, she prefers calm, composed adults who do not socialize with big groups of people. Luna is about 63 pounds. She is healthy and enjoys sunny and rainy weather. Our group is looking for a foster home for Luna as we look for her forever home. Please contact us about fostering or adopting.
