My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Thunder was rescued from an auto body shop along with her siblings Rain and Storm during a TNR project in Woodside, Queens. Momma was trapped, spayed, vaccinated and returned. All of the kittens were visually impaired.

Thunder had a condition known as eyelid agenesis. This is a congenital condition in which the eyelids do not form. Thunder was taken to the Animal Medical Center in Manhattan were she was seen by Dr. van der Woerdt who performed a lip to lid transplant. Skin was taken from her inner lip and transplanted to form eyelids, allowing her to blink!

Thunder loves other cats and would do best in a home with another friendly and confident cat/s as she gets her clues from them on how to interact with people. She is shy at first, but will become your best friend if you offer her some treats. She loves to be brushed and bask in the sun. She is not a huge fan of getting her nails trimmed and does not like to be held. She enjoys your company by sitting next to you.

Thunder tolerates dogs, but does not like when they get in her space. She will hiss to tell them to back off, but is never aggressive.

She is spayed, up to date on shots, has tested negative for both FELV and FIV and is microchipped.
