My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Jagger. Pretty cool name huh? For such a cool name, I had a pretty awful beginning...

I was part of a court ordered seizure. If a court decides to intervene, you know it is bad. :( Upon arrival at the vet hospital, I was given a Body Condition Score of barely 2. Let me tell you, that is not good at all. I was beat up, starved and terrified, barely clinging to life.

I stayed at the hospital for awhile, where the angels that work there cared for me and brought me back to a stable condition. It was at that point that they called Lucies to come and bring me to the park. For 2 weeks straight, these wonderful volunteers provided me with tender loving care and got me vetted to 100%, as all my canine friends here are.

I can be fearful of men, but once I get to know you, I am solid love with a giant smile.

The best part?? Wait for it...I got the moves like Jagger!!! HA HA HA

Inquire about me, you won't regret it!!

Additional adoption info

Interested adopters contact our adoption volunteer either via email or phone. Our volunteer in turn talks to them more about the pet they are interested in. If the adopter seems like a good match, they are requested to complete an application. They come to the rescue location to meet the dog of interest. We also sometimes arrange a home visit to make sure the environment is suitable for the dog. If all is well, they will get a call from a volunteer letting them know they are approved for adoption. They will be provided copies of the vaccination and sterilization records. A delivery day will be arranged for the dog. Either the adopter may come and pick up the dog, or a volunteer can arrange to have the dog delivered. They sign our adoption contract and pay the adoption fee. We do periodically contact our adopters to check up on the dog to make sure everyone is happy and healthy and enjoying their new life!

More about this rescue

Local Unity for Canines In Emergency Situations. We are a dog rescue organization, not a shelter or a pound!

We are a group of neighbors who, as a community effort, are helping the many strays and dumped dogs in the area. We take them in, care for them, feed - vaccinate - worm - socialize, and try to find them forever homes. We do depend on donations to help out, and will accept food, medication, bedding, fostering, and direct donations to Veterinarians.
