My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Date of Birth: August 1, 2016

Theo was found at a site where many ferals hang out and had feeders feeding them. Someone probably dumped him or left him behind when they moved (happens way too often these days!) so he had to fend for himself and found a place where food was being provided. A caring trapper saw him there and took him in to be neutered, but did not want to put him back where she found him since he was so friendly, so she asked if we could take him in. He is one of the volunteer favorites. So sweet and playful. Unfortunately, he did test positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus):

which is really not a big deal as long as you take good care of him and bring him to the vet for regular visits. They can live a long, long life with FIV. It just takes longer for FIV+ cats to get adopted as most people (and alot of vets!) are not educated about the disease. They can also live with other cats that do not have FIV as long as they do not fight, as the disease is spread by deep, bite wounds. Theo has alot of love to give and we hope there is someone out there that will give him the chance he deserves to have a real forever home.
