My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lumi is a 6 year old male that had been living in Minneapolis with his previous owner for the past 4 years but is currently in a foster home looking for his Furever home.

He walks nicely on a leash and is socialized to
crowds, city, travel. etc. He is used to houses, and has been in hotels, elevators, and cars.

Lumi walks well on a leash, and doesn't jump up or act pushy. He LOVES being outside and can be somewhat of an escape artist so a very secure fence is a must! While inside he is just a fluffy couch pillow. He is a lazy peaceful boy at home.

He does not do steep stairs and has never been in the
basement or the second floor. He appears to have some sort of concern with kitchens that is unbelievably
deep, so his previous owner fed him in the dining room. He does not like kitchens in anyone’s house. It isn’t that he doesn’t like linoleum or something simple like that. He does well staying in the house so long as it is NOT a kitchen or basement.

Lumi loves having his head smooshed and his ear scratched.

From the previous owner:
He is not a watch dog barker. But he is a magnificent silent guardian. Once, two large dogs escaped from a
neighbors yard and started to attack my small dog. Lumi stood over her and stared at them very calmly but
with his head and tail erect. He was calm and magnificent. They backed down immediately. He did not
sound the alarm - he was silent, but when he wants to be he is very protective and imposing.

If you are interested in getting to know Lumi better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract.

An adoption application, site visit, and adoption fee are required to adopt Lumi.
