My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Suzi is a cute 1-1/2 year old female Shih Tzu mix who was brought to the HSOV on the evening of August 13, 2022 by a Washington County Ohio Deputy Sheriff who picked her up on Michaelis Road in the Marietta Ohio area along with her best friend Starla (a gray/silver Weimaraner mix). Suzi was wearing a collar but there was neither an id tag nor a dog tag on her collar ... And she was not microchipped.

Suzi has a black-and-white long-haired coat, a long curled tail, and an adorable face with Shih Tzu features.

Suzi was very friendly when HSOV Volunteer John Tynan took her outdoors for her photo sessions. This little lady was more interested in following her nose than posing for pictures, but she did agree to a few serious photos.

Suzi weighs 8.4 lbs.

Suzi's long-haired coat was very matted when she entered our shelter, and she is looking forward to a professional grooming session with one of our talented local groomers on August 16th.

In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Suzi will be held for three days so that her family will have an opportunity to reclaim her with proof of ownership.

Since Delilah was not reclaimed, she was spayed on September 19, 2022 and was also given rabies vaccine.
