~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Waylon is very gentle and loving for a young pup and will make an excellent addition to nearly any home. He is great with other dogs both larger and smaller than himself and did well when tested with a dog savvy cat in his foster home.  Although he has not been tested with children, we suspect that he would absolutely love to have kids to play with!
Waylon is available for adoption through K-9 Rescue of the Eastern Shore.
An adoption process is required to include filling out an online adoption application available at the following link -- https://www.k9rescuees.org/info/adoption
Veterinary and personal reference checks, and a home visit/meet-n-greet are required PRIOR to being approved to adopt. The time frame for completing this process depends largely on how quickly references respond, your vet office is able to speak to us (some want written permission first), your landlord or HOA (if applicable) confirms their approval for a pet, & how your schedule aligns with that of our volunteer(s) for the Home Visit.
~~~~~~~~~~

PLEASE NOTE ~ All of our rescue members are volunteers with many obligations. While we may not be capable of immediate response, we will respond to all inquiries and application submissions as soon as possible. Thank you for thinking adoption!

More about this rescue

K-9 Rescue of the Eastern Shore is an all breed, 501c3 rescue dedicated to improving the lives of dogs on the Eastern Shore & other under-served areas. The organization was established in 2016 by dedicated animal lovers who worked in conjunction with one another to improve the lives of dogs on the Eastern Shore. We strongly believe that all dogs matter, regardless of size, breed, age or health condition.

Our mission is to rescue the abandoned, neglected, abused, sick and injured from some of the most unthinkable circumstances. We provide medical attention and rehabilitate the dogs that enter our rescue program. Once medical and behavioral issues have been rectified, our dogs are then made available for adoption to qualified, loving homes.
