My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Looking for a morning lounger to keep you
company over coffee? Howie would like to apply for
that position! This is one delightful fellow! Born in 2017
, he lived formerly with another cat and liked his
company. But as far as we know, he hasn’t lived with
dogs. Howie is very zen. He has beautiful, soulful eyes
that hypnotize you to come hither. It is impossible to
say no to him! And he will look to you to be pet and
loved. He gives the BEST kitty head bumps and kitty
kisses! He`s not terribly playful, and we`re guessing
that he`d rather just sit in your lap on the porch or in
the Lazy Boy. He`s looking for someone he can purr to
sleep every night and lounge with all day!

Howie came to us not feeling too well. He has had a
diet change to eating Hill`s C/D food, which he enjoys.
This food helps Howie feel much better and keep in tip
top shape! He`s on a C/D wet food diet, and dry.* He`s
super easy to care for! Adopt this big, handsome boy
TODAY!

*Thru the Hills Science Diet Shelter Program, we will
be providing a 4 lb. bag and a few cans of his food
with his adoption. PLUS Howie has been sponsored for
his adoption fee by Jessica Holman. Howie adoption
is already paid for!

More about this shelter

We are a local non-profit organization run and staffed by your neighbors. We make decisions on caring for homeless, unwanted, abandoned and abused domestic animals based on what we believe is best for them. We have no affiliation with any larger group and we receive no funding from any larger group that might influence our decisions or actions.

We advocate only for the animals in our care to help them find their forever home with you.

UPAWS does not receive operating funds from any governmental agency. We rely on donations from our neighbors and friends to make our efforts possible. We save consistently 98% of the animals who come to us – which is an award-winning success story. We want to educate everyone on proper animal care so there soon won’t be the three percent who come to us too sick or wounded to be saved. It’s your support that makes this dream possible.
