My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Brownie is a young neutered Male tabby. Approximately 2-3 years old. He was found in May at a North Plainfield apartment complex starving and seeking food with a feral colony. Chased by the other, resident males, he was trapped for neutering and release, but found to have already been neutered and to have a highly domesticated and loving personality, it was decided he would be best in a caring home. Previous owners were sought but unable to be found. Brownie is healthy, calm, comfortable around other cats and affectionate.

More about this rescue

SARA Inc. is a animal rescue and placement organization. We are a 501c(3) organization, so your donations are tax deductible. We are comprised of devoted volunteers, some with over thirty years of experience. We have a Board of Trustees and Officers who have hands-on knowledge of how to run an effective and efficient animal rescue organization. We are all actively involved and committed to helping as many cats and dogs as we can!

Our focus is cats and kittens. SARA's priority is to get as many rescued animals placed in good and caring homes. One of our main objectives is population control so we also manage feral colonies with a spay/neuter program.
