My story

We really didn't draw that line on her nose with a Sharpie! But it's oh so cute and we couldn't resist the name because of it. Sharpie is a very social, very playful little girl. She will do best in a home with other cats or a cat-friendly dog because she does not like to be alone - she wants a companion! About 4 months old, she is spayed, current on rabies & distemper vaccines and flea & worm prevention, had a negative combo test, and is microchipped. She is a good age to introduce to cat-friendly dogs and other cats.

Campus Cats adopts to indoor-only homes and requires the adopter to bring a cat carrier for safe transport. We do not have a set adoption fee but ask for a donation of your choice to help us help more kittens like Sharpie!

Why adoption is a great option

Sharpie, a Wakinsville Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Wakinsville, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Wakinsville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wakinsville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wakinsville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wakinsville paves the way for another one to be saved.
