Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Marcel is a gentle cat with an ability to become overexcited sometimes. He can be exceptionally well-behaved, and easy to be around, as well as affectionate, but does need breaks from visits sometimes. He enjoys being near people and happily accepts gentle pets and attention, but on occasion he will let you know that he has had enough, so please remember to watch his body language and respect it.
Marcel has a few favorite pastimes; he can’t resist a good play session with a bottle cap (he goes crazy for them!) and loves lounging on flat scratching mats with a carpeted texture. He’s mostly a quiet boy, saving his voice for special moments like greeting you when you come home or reminding you that it’s time for dinner.

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.
Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.
Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.
Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.
Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.
Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
