My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bear is a super fizzy furball of a pup.  We know his dad is a gorgeous, calm, super fuzzy 80 pound Malamute (that looks just like him), and Mom is a 70 pound Belgian Shepherd mix that is shown in the third photo.

Bear was born around 6/16/22. This little boy will be adopted out on a "Foster to Adopt" basis so that he can be neutered when he is 6 months old.  This means if you are lucky enough to take this boy home, you will be paying his full adoption fee of $300, but if you are local to Alturas, CA, where you can take him to the Modoc Veterinary Center, we will pay for the rest of his shots and his neuter, and then he will officially become your dog after he is neutered.  If you are out of town, you will need to pay for his remaining shots and neuter, but we will reimburse you $100 of the adoption fee upon proof of neuter and issue a formal certificate of adoption at that time.  If you are interested in Bear, please email HPHS@Ymail.com and tell us a little about you and your household.

Please note, to ensure puppies get the attention and training they need, we do not adopt puppies this age to households with children under 8 years old.  If you have young children and want a dog, we recommend you adopt a dog that is at least 2 years old.
