My story

Hi, friends!

My name is Mack and I'm looking for my forever home! I'm quite the ladies man, so if any of you single (or taken) ladies are looking for a lovebug to share adventures with, your search is over. If hikes and adventures are your kind of life, I'll fit in just perfectly. I have a carefree and happy attitude and also a lot of get up and go. I love long walks and walk nicely. (I'm quite strong so the harness life is the best life for me)

I love to smile and how how pretty my teeth are when I'm really excited. My ideal day is going on hikes, car rides, playing fetch and ending the day with cuddles and watching tv with my hooman. I enjoy playing with my doggie friends and meeting new people. I don't quite understand what a kitty is but my caretakers have explained to me that they aren't treatos. I'm not sure that I understand any of that so it's probably best for your kitty friends if I don't share a home with them.

Anyway, I think I'd be a perfect match to a young and adventurous hooman (like myself!!). Come meet me so I can show you how much joy and adventure we could have together.

Love,

Mack the Goodest Boy

From Molli:

Good boy Mack was rescued from a high kill shelter in rural West TN and we are SO happy that we are getting to play a part in his rescue journey. This handsome fellow is about 70 pounds of love and fun and adventure. He's about 2 years old. His caretakers are smitten with him and his carefree happy attitude. They have worked on his leash skills and he has come a long way. He's still strong on leash but does good with a harness vs a collar. He enjoys playing with other dog friends, but he thinks kitties are treatos so we are looking for a feline free zone for this guy. He's good with all the nice people that he meets. He will be happy in a home where he can go on hikes, play ball, pick up sticks and end the day with a snuggle sesh on the couch while watching a good mystery show. If you're looking to add a very nice adult dog to your family, we'd love to start the adoption process with you.

Mack is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. This dog has tested negative for heartworms. The adoption fee is $450 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on dogs that are picked up from our Southbury CT adoption center, adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368.

WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you!

If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05.

TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get a confirmation. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back.

After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.

More about this rescue

CPR was formed in 2004 to assist unwanted pups and dogs with finding a new home. We rescue our pups from high kill shelters in TN and MS. Without the dedication of the staff and volunteers of these shelters and without the assistance of CPR, the pups posted on our website would not be rescued.
We also assist families with unwanted litters of pups by placing the pups and spaying their mommy dog to stop the cycle of unwanted puppies. When funds are available, we spay/neuter personally owned pets when asked for assistnce.
We rescue and rehome 200+ pups and dogs each month. We accomplish this task with the help of an awesome hard working and dedicated staff and volunteer base. Also helping us to accomplish what seems at times to be a thankless and overwhelming job is our pure and selfless love of dogs! We truly believe that rescue + rehoming = true love. <3
