Meet Mikey 6620
When offered the opportunity to pay a visit to the Humane Society bark park, 6-month-old Mikey sat quietly in his kennel and looked up with a shy “I’ve got to think about this first” look. The human joined Mikey in the kennel and spent a few moments sharing kind words and a soft, gentle reassuring touch. Mikey decided that this human was trustworthy and together they ventured past the other canine-occupied kennels and out to the freedom of the park. Mikey’s shyness quickly evaporated and the “wow, this is a big space” exploration began. It was a hot, hot afternoon but Mikey didn’t notice as he checked out the agility platform and walked up to the photographer, always with a big smile on his face that shared his thankfulness for the bark park adventure. Mikey is an easy-going, well-mannered, and respectful canine who really likes Life….and if you want his attention, all you have to do is say “Hey Mikey!”
