Meet Angelica!! Angelica came to ODAAT after being abandoned in an apartment. She lost some of her fur, had a terrible skin reaction due to fleas, and was underweight due to her living conditions. We are happy to report that she was nursed back to health in her foster home and her fur is now growing back! Angelica is a slow girl to warm up to people. She sits back and observes before approaching a stranger. Angelica attaches herself to one person and then will learn to trust everyone else. She is a funny girl that demands attention as she wants. Angelica lives in a house with other cats and dogs. She would just rather stick with her person. Angelica loves to play with water bottle caps and can hear them being set down in another room. She also loves to play with toys that make any kind of noise. When Angelica plays with you, she will bat at you without exposing her claws and she packs a punch lol. A home with no children would be best for her as she seems to be afraid of younger children. She is a cuddler and loves to give kisses. Angelica will pick her special spots to hang out and she claims them. If your favorite spot on the couch is what she claims, then get ready to relocate lol. Angelica is litter trained, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. When applying to adopt through ODAAT, please know that we take pride in placing our animals appropriately based on their needs and personality. We want the best family for them and the perfect fit for your family. All applications are ran prior to choosing an adopter.. This process takes time and we do not adopt out on a "first come first served" basis. Applications are found on our website www.onedogatatime.us

Additional adoption info

The goal of ODAAT is to place our companion animals in lifetime, loving homes. Every home and every companion animal has it 's own unique personality and requirements. We place our animals in the supportive and loving environment of home foster care. While there, we gain knowledge about their personality, training skills, likes and dislikes.

To assist us with matching the correct companion animal with the most appropriate and compatible home, please fill out our adoption application questions as completely and correctly as possible and any other information you think would be helpful. The application will be followed-up by an ODAAT Adoption Coordinator, with a phone interview and then a home check.

Adoption contract and post-adoption follow-up checks are required as a condition of adoption. Some companion animals get multiple applicants or are not appropriate matches, so not all adoptions will be approved. Not all applicants will receive a yes or no response due to limited staff. We reserve the right to refuse any adoption without justification.
Our Adoption Costs vary but below is a guideline:
Dogs: $400-$300
Puppies:$450
Cats: $75
Kittens: $100

Why the high cost? Can't I adopt an animal for less? No.. and here's why: Our animals come to you fully vetted. It costs us less for medical care than you do to non-profit discount. So if you adopt an animal for less it will cost you more later. Spay & Neutering your animals, along with keeping up on shots prevents disease & illnesses.

Go meet their pets

We are an all foster-based rescue. Once a potential adopter submits an application they will receive a "Welcome email". This email requests certain steps be done in order for our volunteers to run the application. We do not process applications that do not return the requested information as we are extremely busy. We are very serious about the placement of our animals and want to make sure that the home is both perfect for the animal and perfect for the adoptive family.
