Hi, I'm Doggo! My family in Texas bought me as a puppy, but as I grew, they didn't want to play with me any more. Because there was no fencing to keep me safe, I was tied to a tree for a REALLY long time! Foster mom says almost 5 years. I didn't have shelter, nor anyone to play with. A nice lady provided my veterinary needs, so I've remained heartworm free, thank goodness! I was so very lonely until the nice lady convinced my family to let me go to my ASF rescue foster mom. I am a little overweight from being on that short rope, but the last two months have been wonderful! I get to run and play with my humans and other dogs my own size, and even get to be inside the house with air conditioning and toys!
My foster mom loves me so much, and promises to find a loving family of my very own, where I will be the center of attn, and included in everything. She calls me a dream dog. I'm a very cuddly, affectionate, well behaved boy, and have no bad habits, but would prefer a home with no small children or cats because I can't resist the urge to herd them. My ideal weight is probably 75lbs. I am fairly easy going, listen very well, and love to be with my humans. I am neutered and current on my immunizations.
I would not make a good farm or ranch dog. I am NOT good with livestock, they scare me. I need a family that is experienced knowledgeable with herding breed dogs.
