My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Born ~2015, M, Seal Point Ragdoll
Adoption Fee: $300

This boy has gotten so affectionate it is ridiculous. It was impossible for me to take photos of him a couple days ago because he walked towards me for petting every single minute. He was so much fun but I couldn't get any photos til I had someone to help. He even jumped up on my lap and wanted to stay. He has become a very happy, outgoing kitty.

When he arrived from the shelter he was polite and a bit remote. He was languishing in the shelter because he had a wounded tail and rescues shied away from him. Actually his wound was old; the very end of his tail was missing and about an inch of it was sort of grey and dried up. We arranged to have the dead part removed and he has healed beautifully. He had quite a dark plume of a tail. I included a photo so you can see how it looked when we got him. When his long hair grows back his tail will look about seven or so inches long. He has normal movement with this tail.

Of course we will never know what happened to him but I expect some animal bit the tip off and pulled away the skin from the next inch, the part we had taken off. This kind of damage is called an exit wound. He was running away but wasn't quite exiting fast enough. Poor guy.

So that is old history. Now named Beauregard, he is ready to go a new home and new life. He is a very beautiful boy with his striking blue eyes. Seal Point Ragdolls have dark brown face masks, ears, feet and tail. They cut off the dark brown long hair on his tail but it will grow back. Ragdolls are very poplar kitties with their mellow, affectionate nature and their big beautiful looks. And Beau is big, he is a solid, strong boy who weighs over 12 pounds.

Beauregard would be good in many kinds of homes. Ragdolls always do best in stable and quiet homes, ones without noisy chaos. Beau has clearly had enough excitement for now so let's make it easy for him. I think he would be fine as a family cat with older children or as a companion for a couple or single adult who is home a lot. Since we don't know who bit him I would prefer not to send him to a home with dogs. He is fine with other cats -- he completely ignores them so he is not a good companion cat for a needy cat.

His new family will love giving his soft, cuddly body the affection he enjoys. He clearly is a lap cat and would love to watch late night movies with you.

Some family will be so lucky to have his warm companionship.

Beauregard is neutered, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, microchipped, eats wet and dry food, and is litterbox perfect.

He is fostered by Harriet in Santa Cruz.

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pet and create an ideal forever home.

If you believe you are the perfect adopter for Beauregard please tell us why in the comments section of our Adoption Application, and contact Harriet at harrietluvskitties@yahoo.com If you are unable to reach Harriet please email us at info@purebredsplus.org.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone's best interests!
