Hi, I’m Joyce—and I’m here to add a little mystery, independence, and late-night snuggles to your life.
I’m not your typical lap cat—nope, I’m better. I prefer laying across your chest or curling up over your right shoulder like a furry parrot. At night, I’ll sleep near your face or somewhere along your body because, while I may be independent, I’m also deeply loyal to my person.
I don’t meow much, so I hope you’re good at mind reading! I’ll stare at you until you figure out what I want (it’s a fun game, really), and if you’re lucky, I might give you a hint. I don’t love being picked up—but I do love chasing laser pointers, birdwatching, and being entertained by pretty much anything that moves.
I’ve lived with other cats and I’m confident enough to stand my ground with any bullies. Dogs? Hard pass. I’ve met a few, and let’s just say we’re not destined to be best friends. I do fine with kids, though—I’m respectful and curious.
Oh, and a fair warning: I have a thing for chewing on string-like objects (and sometimes carpet corners), so you`ll want to keep your drawstrings and rugs out of reach.
I’ve been waiting patiently for three years for someone to notice how special I am. If you’re looking for a companion who’s a little bit independent, a little bit cuddly, and a whole lot of personality—I’m your girl.
My adoption fee of $25 includes up-to-date vaccinations, dewormer, and heartworm/flea prevention. Plus, a microchip that is already registered to you! What more could you ask for?
If you`d like to meet me, please fill out an application on our website, PawmettoLifeline.org. Adoptions are by appointment Tuesday through Thursday, Friday and Saturday are walk in from 10-5. Please fill out the online application, and you will be contacted if you are approved and are a good fit for one of our adoptable pets.
