Lynx Point Siamese kitties are bred to Bengals to create the beautiful blue-eyed Bengals called Snow Bengals. Their blue eyes, of course, come from their Siamese heritage. It can be hard to tell a Siamese Lynx Point kitten from a Snow Bengal kitten. Near the end of the first year, all of a sudden, and seemingly overnight, Snow Bengals develop their spots or rosettes and other Bengal markings. It is dramatic and quite wonderful.

Soon after I posted Julien as a "Spotted" Lynx Point Siamese, I realized my error. Ooops what was I thinking ? I emailed Julien's photos to our Bengal expert to double check that he was a Snow Bengal. Yes, he was, so I took his bio off the website. Here it is new and improved.

This beautiful Snow Bengal is still young. There is a freshness and innocence about Julien. He does not seem particularly experienced with things in his world. He is good-natured, sweetly curious, fairly docile. We put a very big cat, Charlie, a blue point Siamese, near him and Julien leaned forward to sniff noses with him very politely. He has great composure and would likely be cat friendly to friendly cats. Bengals do best with other Bengals. Since they have buns of steel, they play a little hard for most cats.

We don't know how Julian ended up with his long stay in the shelter. He was a little remote when he arrived but that didn't last. He loosened up as he got to know us and now has relaxed into being a very appealing and affectionate boy. He has really blossomed in the last few weeks since his bio came down. He is more beautiful than ever with darker more pronounced markings. I love the dramatic banding on his legs. As his confidence has increased, his great joy in human attention has increased. He love bombs us. Truly.

Julien needs a Bengal experienced home. I tell folks Bengals are a life style choice. Julien's family needs to be willing to make adjustments in their life to accommodate his needs for play and entertainment. Extra care has to be taken to make sure he doesn't get out which is not as easy as it sounds. You need to be able to out think these super smart kitties. Are you up for that? Bengals, for example, can often open doors, even ones with round knobs. Bengals want a deep bond with their human or humans.

I don't know how he does with dogs but he would probably be in charge. He would be fine with older super responsible children. Some family will be so lucky to have his companionship.

Julien is neutered, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, microchipped, eats wet and dry food, and is litterbox perfect.

He is fostered by Harriet in Santa Cruz.

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pet and create an ideal forever home.

If you believe you are the perfect adopter for Julien please tell us why in the comments section of our Adoption Application, and contact Harriet at harrietluvskitties@yahoo.com If you are unable to reach Harriet please email us at info@purebredsplus.org.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone's best interests!
