My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

It all began in a garden bed! My wild momma grew me and my four brothers until we could eat on our own. She hid us from the two-legged life forms as best as she could, but the owner of the garden found us five boys. We were very sick! BTKR eventually caught all of us and placed us with our foster mom to be nurtured back to good health.

My foster mom was so attentive! She kept us in a quiet place in our new home until we could get better and get used to all the new smells and sounds. For several months, we were scared and thought we were potential prey, so we hissed and growled a lot. We devoured food as if we would not see it again!

I have learned to love pets, free massages, and lots of treats for just being cute! I have a small white star on my chest and belly to complement my all-black fur coat. This is how my foster momma can tell me apart from my other three brothers with silky black coats! I did not know how to be a real house kitty until my foster mom’s forever babies were able to adopt us into a daily routine of the household.

This is what I expect when my forever family finds me:

*I need to sleep with you until the morning! In the night, if you wake up, I will be there to make sure you’re okay and then ask you to give me a small pet. I will sleep on your feet, next to you, on your shoulder, on you back, or on your tummy, depending on whether any other furry friends have first dibs.
*I need wet food in the morning while you make your coffee!
*I need Temptations when you sit down to drink your coffee and possibly have a window for my cat TV
*I need a laser pointer, catnip, scratching posts, and a variety of cat toys to help me get my zoomies out of my system.
*When you go to work I will sleep, so don’t worry about me when you’re away for a few hours in the day.
*When you get home from work I will seek you out when I hear you or meet you at the door to ask how your day was! So you will have to be ok with me telling you I am glad you came back home for me.

Please understand that when I do first arrive to my forever home, I will need a lot of time to get used to my new place! I may hide, and I’ll have to get used to the new sounds and smells. I will need to let you approach me only for a nose boop or you will have to let me come to you - enticements are welcome! I will need time to trust my new two-legged forever family, because the only one I have really known for my first 4 months is my foster momma.
