My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello there, I'm Bridget Bones, your potential best friend! I'm an adult, but don't let that fool you, Snuggle-bunny inside, wiggly-giggly energizer puppy on walks. I love going for walks and playing with you!. I love a good game of fetch and I'm smart enough to bring the ball right back to you. I'm dog reactive, but I am good on the leash, and I know all my basic commands. I just need an active, experienced home to keep me on the right track. After a good play session, there's nothing I love more than a good cuddle. I'm 45 lbs. of pure loyalty and love. I am fully potty trained, use the doggie door, and am crate trained. I also give the best kisses, and love my humans more than you can imagine. I would do best as the only pup in the house, so I can get all of the attention and know that I am safe. Will you take me home, take me on walks, set boundaries and love me forever? If you and I both put in the work, I will be the dog of your dreams. Oh, and no kitties, please.

My former foster mom says: 'Bridget Bones is one of our smartest dogs, and before I knew her, I could have sworn that she was a puppy! She's one of those lucky dogs who doesn't age a day and will forever be a puppy! She places heavy emphasis on respect, but once you've earned it with her, she will be an angel!'

Additional adoption info

All of our animals come fully vaccinated and spayed or neutered (if old enough), and microchipped. Puppies and kittens will be spayed/neutered and have all shots when they are old enough. There is an Adoption application, a quick phone interview to make sure it is a good fit, a meet and greet with the dog, then a home check, and an adoption contract. We ask for a $400 donation for adult dogs, and $500 for puppies at the time of adoption so that we can save other dogs from the shelter. The first step is to fill out an app here: https://thelittlereddog.org/dog-adoption-forms

More about this rescue

The Little Red Dog (TLRD) passionately transforms canine lives through holistic rehabilitation, education, and community outreach. Since 2011, the mission for our nonprofit has been clear: rescue, educate, find homes, and assist the people in our community who are in need. By advocating for comprehensive behavioral understanding, and assistance to the community, we strive to reduce animal cruelty, and the number of animals being surrendered to the shelter, thereby eradicating euthanasia and fostering a world where humans and dogs thrive together, and all humans and animals are free from discrimination. Through our efforts, we address both immediate needs and underlying issues. We envision a world where every dog, regardless of its past, has a loving future, and where canines and humans always feel included and appreciated. We are on a mission from dog!
