HI, I’m Louisa. My start to life was a little messed up, trained to wee wee pads till the age of 7 months, and not socialized. My sister and I were scared of everything. Thank goodness we ended up at this rescue with lots of great fosters.
My sister found a great home, unfortunately when I was ready for adoption, while playing ball (did I tell you I love to play ball), I landed wrong and broke my leg. The leg is now healed but they want to go back in to take out the screws and the plate, The vets say it is a simple operation and I would be back on my feet and ready to play in 2 weeks. I sure was hoping in the meantime, I could possibly find my forever home. I will take 24 hours to warm up to you, but if you give me that chance, I will be your best friend forever. I really need to find a home with another dog because they give me confidence and I let them lead the way for scary things for me. I will also need a fenced in yard so my friend and I can play! Right now, my best friend is Levy, he is a Great Dane and there is also Carolina, she is a bit smaller than me and older, so she doesn’t play that much. I do ok on a leash and I DO NOT use wee wee pads anymore (thought those were weird to begin with). I go outside like it should be! I have a crate, which I love because it is my safe place. My foster moms keep telling me I am very smart and that training me is pretty easy since I love treats. I do like to be on the move, so if you hike or run all the better. But once we are done, you also need to be a good cuddler. And there is more good news, I am already spayed, microchipped (so you never lose me) and I have all my vaccines.
If you think you might be in Love with me, please fill out It Takes a Village Animal Rescue’s application, which you will only find at www.itavar.com. Once they get your application, they will call you and set up a time for us to meet!! I cant wait!!
