My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*** Alice is in our PetSmart Aero adoption center ***

Solid black, short hair, female, born approx. 8/10/16, #17803

Cats: mellow felines likely fine
Dogs: unknown
Children: quiet and cat-savvy kids likely best

Alice was first adopted from The Rescue House in 2022. Unfortunately, things didn't work out as planned. Scared and hiding, the poor darling was doing her best to cope in a stressful environment. When we heard about Alice's plight, we gladly welcomed her back into our clowder. After a restorative stay in foster care, this resilient cutie was ready to give love a second chance and found a new person. However, within a few months, that lady's work schedule and financial situation ultimately made her unable to care for Alice, so Alice returned to us once again. Believing that the third time is the charm, Alice just knows that her next home will be forever!

Get ready to fall head over heels for Alice! This adorable panther is as sweet as honey. Don't be discouraged if she is bashful at first. Given the situation in her first home and the multiple placements she has experienced within the year following her removal from that household, she is bit cautious at times and would do best in a quiet home. However, she's also a curious kitty who can't decide if she wants to hide or catch a glimpse of the action. For example, when the vacuum cleaner is around, this silly girl will sprint to a secure place where she can safely watch you. Once Alice comes out of her shell, you'll realize that she adores being the center of attention! Indulge her with games of chase. Drag a pipe cleaner on the floor, and watch her go crazy for it! Hankering for some pets, she'll flop on the ground. When she wants a back scratch, she'll arch her back so high in the air, that she'll stand on the tip of her toes! Warning: if you're too busy and not giving her enough attention, you might get a friendly nibble. Reminded of your priorities, you and Alice are backed to cuddling!

In her first adoptive home, Alice shared space with a kitten for a period of time, and although we have limited information about their interactions, it sounds like the tiny tyke might have been a bit much for her. In one of her foster placements, she lived with a grumpy cat that is not a huge fan of others, and Alice spent limited time in his company. Her response to any approach he made was to show him her tummy to indicate that she totally respected his authority and did not intend to cause him any upset. Based on this and Alice's behavior in the community cat room at PetSmart Aero, we think Alice should be able to coexist with a mellow feline friend. We are not sure how Alice feels about dogs or children. Given her demeanor, quiet cat-savvy kids likely would be best.

Are you looking for a diva kitty to spoil with snuggles and love? Then, Alice is your gal! Won't you invite her to take centerstage in your heart?
