Meet Cricket! Cricket came to Chi Town Rescue as an owner surrender and is now looking for a new home. She is the cutest little girl that is approximately 3 years old. She has such a loving personality and her favorite place is in your lap or on your chest so she can fall asleep. When Cricket first came to the rescue, we noticed she had a cough and thought it was an upper respiratory infection (doggy cold). The cough didn't go away with medication and she was taken to the vet where x-rays were done. It was determined that Cricket has a severe endotracheal collapse where the tube meets the lungs. The vet said Cricket will have this lifelong condition and she can't overexert herself or get overweight. Hydrocodone is a medication that will help with her occasional cough.
Cricket is a special needs dog that will thrive in a quiet home. She gets along with other dogs as long as they don't harass her. Cricket is spayed, has a microchip and updated vaccines. If you would like to meet this adorable cutie, please contact Chi Town Rescue to make an appointment for a meet and greet.
