Sunny is looking for an extra special home. Sunny is what I’d consider semi feral. She doesn’t seek human affection but definitely has potential to become more social in a patient home who has time to spend earning her trust. She will explore the house, hang out on window sills and cat trees but will run/hide from you if you approach so she will need a very slow introduction into a home but is not aggressive and can be handled once caught. She’s just a very nervous cat. She needs a special home that is ok with her being a shy girl but there has to be someone out there that can love her even if she isn’t the type of cat that wants to cuddle with you. She would probably make a good companion for another cat. Potential adopters need to be ok with letting Sunny just be herself and potentially never want human attention.
She came into a local shelter and had to have a leg amputated. Sunny is extremely shy. She is not aggressive and when you catch her you can hold her and handle but will run as soon as she gets a chance. She just prefers not to be touched and to do here own thing. She could potentially become more social with time and patience but she will probably really be more of a companion for another cat and not a people cat. She currently has free roam of her foster home and just does her own thing and basks in the window.
We are also considering a barn home for her but since she only has three legs we’d prefer an inside home but since she is so shy we would consider an extra special barn home for her. It would have to be a barn home in a save area not near a road and even better would be if she could be contained to the barn to keep her safe from predators etc.
