My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Phoenix says .. screw this, I’ve been waiting 5 years for my furever home .. time to put it all out there Tinder style. Side note, she does have all four limbs but felt this was her best angle!

Phoenix is around 12 years old and that’s right, has been in foster care for FIVE years! This girl is a people cat, she loves to be near you, follow you around the house and greet everyone for head pets. Although she’s an older gal she does like to partake in some party toys here and there.

Is she your purrfect match? Swipe right on this girl today!! She’s not afraid to throw her resting b**** face at any of your ex’s either.

All our animals have age-appropriate vaccinations, and are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and tested for FIV/FelV prior to adoption. Adoption fees are as follows: kitten $150 ($200 for a pair), adult $100, senior/special needs $50.

More about this rescue

The idea for Kizzy's Place began after 4 animal advocates, who had been involved in cat rescue for a while, were inspired to combine efforts. Each wanted to help a cat named Kizzy, who was on the urgent list at a local shelter, but each realized that they could not help Kizzy alone. Kizzy needed immediate transportation from the shelter, funds for a vet visit, and an experienced foster home in which he could recuperate from URI, a tall order. So after talking about it communally, the advocates each handled a piece of the operation, resulting in a successful rescue effort! The new friends noted that rescue groups sometimes need a little extra help, like a foster, transporter, or private donor, to assist them in doing their noble work. Also, they recognized that individual animal rescuers sometimes need the wider reach of an organized rescue group to help get their adoptable animals noticed by potential adopters. This is what Kizzy’s Place provides, a network of friends to mutually assist each other!

We are a registered 501(c)3 non profit that matches homeless animals with their forever homes!
