Meet Hobo:

Having earned his name as a stray surviving on the streets, Hobo is also a character. Fondly nicknamed the “grumbler,” he grumbles when he’s eating (he still enjoys emptying other kitties’ food bowls), being petted and having his head scratched. Having recently “asked” River to be his new best furry friend, Hobo would not only love to polish his manners to purr-fection but find fur-ever love with River in a patient home with room enough for two.

Currently, we have a private Shelter for our animals so it is by appointment only. However we also have a partnership with Pet Value in Aurora (Bayview and Aurora Road) where many cats and kittens are also housed.

We attend local Fairs, Events such as "All About Pets" Show in Toronto, for example, and other fund-raising events during the year in the Toronto area.

More about this rescue

North Toronto Cat Rescue is a registered Canadian charrity made up of dedicated volunteers concerned with the welfare of all cats and kittens. We rescue, foster, provide veterinary care (including blood testing, vaccines and spay/neuter) and arrange adoptions for abandoned or rescue felines.

For ten years, North Toronto Cat Rescue has been helping hundreds of souls in need wherever we find them, offering love, nourishment, safety, medical care and the hope of a "forever" home.

We are not a spay/neuter and release group as we believe all these animals deserve comfot, warmth and love, particularly during the long cold winter days here in Canada. They will remain with us until they find a permanent home.
