Exquisitely beautiful Lily is a purebred Silver Chinchilla Persian that glistens like a jewel in the sunlight. She was purchased as a kitten from her breeder and has always lived in a quiet home, cherished and loved. She recently spent 17 weeks all alone after her best forever friend, the only one she's ever known, had unexpectedly passed away. Neighbors made sure she had food, water and a clean litter box. She is now fostered by a family member who keeps her isolated from their two not so friendly felines. Lily is ready for a new home.
Chinchilla Persians are sensitive and intelligent, known to be quite adaptable to different situations. They are affectionate, calm, and sweet-natured cats that are docile and love to spend time with their person. Lily is somewhat shy and reserved around people she doesn't know but will warm up once she's gotten to know them. Chinchilla Persians are known to express their thoughts and opinions through body language and facial expressions rather than with a lot of meowing. Lily has proven this to be true as can be seen in her pictures. She is a very gentle, affectionate, sweet cat that loves to purr. The Chinchilla Persian is not a particularly active cat and would usually rather spend time cuddling on your lap or lying in a sunny spot. Lily does like to play with her feather toys so it will be important to spend time playing with her every day to insure she gets enough mental and physical stimulation. This will form a bond between you.
Grooming the Chinchilla Persian is not for the faint of heart! As with any Persian, they have a very dense undercoat and a full, long outer coat requiring regular brushing. We recommend she is brushed every day for about 5 minutes, to de-tangle her coat, keeping it free of mats, reducing excess shedding and, consequently, fewer hairballs. If you notice discharge around her eyes, you can gently wipe it off with a damp, warm cloth.
Lily appears to be in good health, is a good weight, and has a good appetite. True to the Fancy Feast 'poster' cat, Lily likes to eat her food from a crystal dish and yes, it is Fancy Feast. She does not scratch the furniture. We recommend a quiet home where someone is home most of the time and no small children. Her owner's wishes were that she be an only pet, strictly indoors, in a non-smoking home, and we wish to honor that last request. Her darling affectionate personality outshines her striking looks, a truly lovely cat!
Lily is spayed, vaccinated, FELV tested, eats wet and dry food, and is litterbox perfect.
She currently lives with her owner in Roseville.
