My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

In Lillington, NC
Everyone meet Argo. Argo was rescued by ASF from a backyard breeder a couple of months ago. He was heavily infested with internal and external parasites. He has since received full vet care, including vaccinations, neutering , microchip and prevention.

Now 7 months old, he still acts every bit a puppy, but has the manners in public of a gentleman. He absolutely adores picking on his older Aussie foster brother, so another active dog in the household is a must. He is very shy around new dogs up front but seems to warm up to friendly dogs quickly. He is quite active and loves new people and places, so a new family that is interested in letting him be a participating member of the family is ideal. At our outings, he listens politely, loves to get pets from people, but has an off switch and will lay down when not being interacted with.

Zoomies are very important to Argo, so a fenced in yard is strongly recommended. He has been introduced to a crate and doesn't mind it for the most part, choosing to fall asleep there on his own on occasion . However, he does sometimes have a fear of missing out on the action if he is in a crate and there is fun happening elsewhere.

Argo is very food motivated and is a very quick learner. He already knows sit, shake, down, and has been working with his foster dad on "sitting pretty".

He has no food aggression issues and walks very well on a leash. We still take him out every few hours, but he is potty trained. He even waits by the door to let you know when he needs to go outside! He absolutely loves all of his toys and entertains himself with them from time to time. If his new parents are interested in dock diving, this may be your dog. He is a water dog through and through. Kids may not be in his best interest as he still nips on occasion (foster mom has been working on that) and he also really likes to use his paws when playing.

If interested in adopting Argo, please fill out an application and we can schedule a meet and greet so we know it is a great fit for everyone!
