My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi y'all my name is Wish, like I wish I had a million dollars!!

So, I was living in a house with other dogs. I can't remember much about it, other than THE OWNER JUST LEFT THE HOUSE AND NEVER CAME BACK.

To top it all off, we we all trapped in crates with no food or water and no other place to go potty. That was at least for a whole week!

Luckily, someone finally discovered our plight and called the law. We were then seized and taken to the vet for examination. It was not a pretty sight, let me tell you. NONE of us were in the mood to be messed with.

There were 3 of us that actually made it through all the bites, bumps, bruises and gaping wounds that we came in with.

The vet called Lucies and here we are now. All happy and healthy. You'd never guess the utter H E double toothpicks we went through!

We 3 kinda stick together now, but that doesn't mean we can't be separated. We all would like families of our own to love and grow with.

We are working on leash and crate training and I just love to play with toys and be in the water!!

*** We strive to ensure our dogs are going to a safe, loving and caring home. Phone interviews are required for all adoptions****

Additional adoption info

Interested adopters contact our adoption volunteer either via email or phone. Our volunteer in turn talks to them more about the pet they are interested in. If the adopter seems like a good match, they are requested to complete an application. They come to the rescue location to meet the dog of interest. We also sometimes arrange a home visit to make sure the environment is suitable for the dog. If all is well, they will get a call from a volunteer letting them know they are approved for adoption. They will be provided copies of the vaccination and sterilization records. A delivery day will be arranged for the dog. Either the adopter may come and pick up the dog, or a volunteer can arrange to have the dog delivered. They sign our adoption contract and pay the adoption fee. We do periodically contact our adopters to check up on the dog to make sure everyone is happy and healthy and enjoying their new life!

More about this rescue

Local Unity for Canines In Emergency Situations. We are a dog rescue organization, not a shelter or a pound!

We are a group of neighbors who, as a community effort, are helping the many strays and dumped dogs in the area. We take them in, care for them, feed - vaccinate - worm - socialize, and try to find them forever homes. We do depend on donations to help out, and will accept food, medication, bedding, fostering, and direct donations to Veterinarians.
