IDGSR WELCOMES ATHENA INTO THE SAFETY OF THE RESCUE!!!!

Hi! My name is Athena and I am the most beautiful, striking German Shepard Dog you'll ever see!! (IMHO) I came to the safety of this wonderful rescue in mid September. No one knows my background (except me, but I can't figure out how to tell them), but I'm about two years old and have lots of energy. I love to runaround, play, hike or whatever else you enjoy doing. I'll be right there by your side! I'm so excited to meet my new furever family that I can devote myself to furever.... playing, running, loving and cuddling with you always.

I have to admit that I need some training. I don't have the best manners yet and I'll need to be shown how to behave properly. But I really want to be your pawfect girl and I listen well and learn VERY quickly cuz I'm soooo smart. I'll be the pawfect girl for you after you show me the way.

I tend to be somewhat dominant around other female dogs, but I love playing with male dogs. Though you'll have to let me know when I'm getting too ruff with them as I'm very liberated and sometimes like to show them how strong women can be!

As always for beautiful Shepards like me, I recommend basic training. It's great for both of us. It will help me direct my astounding intelligence in pawsitive directions and help me bond with you. Plus it's sooooo much fun!

Training is imperative for any new dog going to a new home. It provides obedience, manners, trust and respect.
