Meet Amelia!
Hey there, my name is Amelia and I'm about 10 years old, breaking the scales at 4 whole pounds. I'm confident and not afraid to tell puppies or energetic dogs to settle down and get out of my face with my Chewbacca impression. I'm more of a low key, mellow type of gal and don't really pay much attention to other dogs, besides my best dog friend. I'd do okay with kids who could understand they need to be gentle with my small frame, so the little kids wouldn’t be a great fit for me. I'll go outside and do potty, but you might need to remind me sometimes.
Along with my older age comes a couple medical issues. My knees aren't what they used to be and I have chronic dry eye, causing me to need eye drops for the rest of my life. I love being by my people and would make a great lap dog! I also really enjoy dog beds and blankets, but I could live without toys. My dream home would be with an older couple, or person, who can dote on me and show me all the love I deserve! Are you ready for a teeny tiny gal to enter your home?

We are only making an educated guess based on a few factors like teeth, fur color, and overall body condition, but for dogs who have not been given adequate vet care and food, it can be even more difficult. Every dog is an individual, and we do our very best to age appropriately but make no guarantees as to the age of any dog in our program.
