My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ella is an 11 year old German Short Hair/Springer Spaniel mix. She is a retired pheasant hunter, loves to lay around, take naps, and is the best snuggler in town. Even in her old age she has some pep in her step and loves to go for walks. Ella is always on her best behavior, and never gets into anything she isn’t suppose to. She is very obedient and loves lots of attention from her family. She is completely house trained, can go 10-12 hours alone during the day, and is never kenneled. She is truly the sweetest girl. She is good with other cats and dogs, and ideally would do best in a home with older kids. A home with lots of love, and endless snuggles will be the best for this old lady to live out her golden years.

As a rescue, we provide the care, procedures and testing that is available to us.    Adopters will be responsible for continued preventatives, follow-up appointments, and medications (if applicable). At times, adopters will be responsible for procedures not completed in rescue (dentals, bloodwork, etc.)

Your new dog will receive their rabies and distemper vaccine, heartworm test and microchip.

$50 discount for seniors (65+) and veterans. Adoption fees help pay for the dog's veterinary exam, vaccinations (rabies and distemper) HW test, a microchip, and spay/neuter if needed and additional health needs specific to each animal.

Grey Face Rescue does not adopt outside of Minnesota for now. We apologize for the inconvenience.

We do not adopt animals to families whose current pets are not up-to-date on vaccinations or not altered. Exceptions may be made for medical reasons as stated by a veterinarian and we will require proof of that recommendation. Thank you for understanding our mission to reduce overpopulation.

Once you submit your application, our adoption manager will be in touch, so please check your spam folder if you do not see something from us within 7-10 days.

Thank you again for your interest in a Grey Face senior. We appreciate your support!
