Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Pepper is a fantastic dog, but he needs a special home. He was never socialized as a puppy, so now he is afraid of strangers or anyone that passes him on the street. He has decided to act out when he is afraid. That is barking, whining and even biting. He needs a home that will continue to work with him on his behavior. He needs a fenced yard because he is not good on a leash just yet. He shouldn't have smaller pets in the house because he can play rough when excited.
He is very smart and learns commands quickly. He loves to run and is playful. He likes toys and bones. He is very likely to cuddle on the couch with you. He is sleeping in a crate all night and is house broken. However, he is not good in the car unless he can be in your lap. He has had a lot of bad experiences most likely causing his issues. But underneath he is a gem. A sweet boy that needs a chance.
We are working with a trainer on his issues and any adopter would need to continue with a trainer. He will need time to socialize. He will bond quickly with a new family, but then wants to decide who you let in the house. There is still much work to be done, someone with training experience is desired.
