My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Elizabeth!

This beautiful girl was the mama of our Queen Elizabeth litter in September, 2022. She came to us with her ten puppies, who she had when she was barely more than a puppy herself. Elizabeth has a beautiful reddish brown coat and is a perfect medium size young adult dog. We do not know what her breed mix is but a dog photo identifier site came up with Redbone Coonhound/Mountain Cur mostly. She is more likely some kind of generic Lab/Hound mix.

Elizabeth is seriously one of the best and easiest dogs we've had in rescue. When her puppies were weaned and she joined all the other adult dogs in her foster home, she adapted immediately. She has not had an accident in the house, has not needed a crate as she has shown no negative behaviors at all. She doesn't jump on us and she waits patiently in line for her treats, which she takes very gently. She plays nicely with the other dogs in her foster home. And she loves to be loved on.

After the above post, Elizabeth was adopted and was in her adoptive home for about six months, but sadly her family had a serious change of circumstances and could not care for Elizabeth so she recently came back to us. She is still as sweet as she ever was, and from her time with her family we have also learned that she is great with children and cats. She is very adaptable -- we feel like she would be happy as an only dog to get all the love and attention, or she happily merges into a family with other pups and kitties.

If you think you might want to give this sweet pup a home, please email jojosdogrescue@gmail.com and we will send you an application, or visit our website: www.jojosdoghouse.com and download one. Adoption fee is $250, which includes spay, up-to-date vaccinations, parasite treatment, and microchip.

Please visit our Facebook page JoJo's DogHouse (non-profit) to learn more about us and see many of the dogs we have rescued. We hope you'll join JoJo's family of adopters.
