My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Breed: American Bulldog / American Staffordshire Terrier
DOB: 2/8/2020
Gender: male
Altered: yes
Coat: medium
Size: large
Color(s): black / white
Description:
Hi, I'm Hank, an outgoing American Bulldog / American Staffordshire Terrier who is in need of a new home as the other dog in the home no longer cares for me being there too.

I'm a couch potato during the day. I enjoy bully sticks, walks and laying in your lap. I need to be told 'sit' and 'stay' before opening a door. I make short work of toys so toys are not recommended. I will chew shoes too and sometimes paper. I live with a cat that I mostly ignore. I need time to get to know other dogs, but once I do I enjoy playing with them. I guard my toys and my home so anyone who comes to the house I need to meet them outside every time before they come in. I would do best in an adult only home with no other dogs, but may be ok with children 10 years and up if they know how properly interact with dogs.

If you're interested in meeting me, please fill out an online application.

More about this rescue

Canine Adoption and Rescue League is a 501(c)(3) Private Non-Profit No-Kill Organization. We rely on donations and do not receive government, state, or city funding. We operate almost entirely by volunteers.

Since 1996, Canine Adoption and Rescue League has rescued and placed thousands of unwanted, sick, abandoned, and homeless dogs. Dogs in our adoption program are placed in pre-screened, loving and secure homes. We make a lifetime commitment to all of our dogs.

Canine Adoption and Rescue League receives hundreds of calls from people who must find a home for a stray, a litter of puppies or even a family pet.

Canine Adoption and Rescue League's mission is to advocate for animal welfare, seeking to end the needless deaths of companion animals through our adoption, education, and outreach programs.
