My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hazel is a 12-week-old (as of 9/27/22) pure bred German Shepherd Puppy. She was bought from a breeder by a young couple who didn’t realize how much work a puppy is in a small apartment. They ended up taking Hazel to a nearby gas station to give her away when they encountered one of our previous adopters who stopped to get gas.

To make sure the puppy was well cared for, the Good Samaritan took her on the spot and contacted us.

Hazel is a sweet and friendly puppy who LOVES to play in water, including splashing in her water bowl.

She is currently being fostered in a home with six other larger dogs and two cats. She loves to play with everybody. Hazel’s foster dad called her “the velcro dog” the first few days he had her as she would stay right at his feet when the other larger dogs were running around and rough-housing. She now ventures away from her foster more to explore and play.

Hazel is not yet fully potty trained. Sometimes she remembers to go on the pad or let her foster know she needs to go out; sometimes not. But the ratio of success to failure tilts towards success daily.

Hazel would love to have an active home with other friendly dogs. She has her whole life ahead of her and we can’t wait to help her find her forever home.

As part of Hazel’s adoption, she will be checked by our rescue vet, vaccinated, microchipped and spayed.
