Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Ripley, Shepherd/Husky, 4 years old, 62 lbs.
Ripley, believe it or not, just appeared on some very kind people’s doorstep in a rather secluded area wearing a very tight collar with a piece of broken chain attached. It was obvious he had been running for some time. Ripley was skinny, filthy, and flea ridden. The tips of his ears were hairless, swollen and raw from bug bites. He was also limping from an injured leg and abraded paws.
But, look at Ripley now! Healthy, happy, and more than ready to find a loving home.
Ripley is quite a well mannered boy especially considering he didn’t even know “sit” when he came into care. He now knows sit, wait, back, and is working on a few more. Ripley is still a bit of a puller on a short leash, but is quite respectful on a long lead.
Understandably Ripley is food motivated but not obsessed. This will serve his new people well when continuing his training. He doesn’t jump up, counter surf or free range in the garbage. There has been no need to crate him, so we don’t know if Ripley was ever crated. He is a good boy, but is a work in progress.
Ripley is gentle and friendly. He has been good with people, dogs and cats. He loves to run and play ball (even by himself). Though we don’t know for sure, it seems Ripley spent much of his life tied out. In his new life we want Ripley to have a nice fenced yard where he can safely run and be “free”. He’s a 100% pure bred good boy.
Ripley has been neutered, microchipped, and his vaccinations are up to date. The adoption fee for Ripley is $500.00.
