My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Approx. DOB: 7/13/14                 Approx Weight: 71 pds

Adoption Fee: $150    includes a 2 week trial to ensure everyone's happiness!

Dozer would do best with children over the age of 10 years old.

Dozer is just the sweetest boy but he has a rough past to overcome in his life. This past causes him to have some initial trust issues with new people. Especially men. He will bark when scared and his bark can be intimidating. He seems to gravitate towards women more. However, if you give him a little bit of time and some treats (this boy is food motivated), he will settle down and give you a chance to earn his trust and love. And when that happens, Dozer gives you his whole heart!  He is a protective and loyal boy by nature and will always be there for you....even when you're in the bathroom.  Seriously.  Ha!

Dozer is house trained and does well in the kennel most of the time. He can be a bit of a whiner if he knows you're home and not asleep. He wants to be part of the fun too!  Dozer LOVES other dogs and loves to play! He hasn't really been around cats yet so we're not sure about that. Dozer does have allergies and will need to be on Apoquel to help him not be itchy. And because of his initial trust issues, we think Dozer should not be in a home with children under 10. He is a puller when on the leash right now but he is getting some training and already doing a bit better! We have learned that while on walks, Dozer does not like anything on wheels. He barks at those items. Silly boy! Dozer will need a fenced in yard for his safety. And no townhomes or duplexes or any living space that shares walls because of his possible barking. Dozer loves to go for car rides.

Just look at that smile on his face!  Dozer is ready to find his forever home and be with his family!

I have been neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative, wormed and microchipped.  If you are interested in adopting me, please complete the adoption application located at www.furrykidsrefuge.org/adoptadog and a dedicated volunteer will get back to you as soon as possible.
