My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This dog`s adoption fee has been generously sponsored!

Are you looking for fresh flowers? Look no further than the underbite queen herself - Tulip! Tulip is a great and gorgeous companion! She takes a few days to warm up, but once she does, she blooms! Once she feels comfy, she becomes a total cuddle bug. While somewhat sensitive to loud noises, she`s very food-motivated and is very easily lured away with a tasty treat!

She`s also improved greatly on the leash, learning her proper manners and refraining from pulling. She`s made so much progress that she`s now able to pass dogs calmly, although she would still prefer to be the only dog in the home. A favorite note from her time in a foster respite: `She loves rosemary bushes! She rubbed on one so much the other day that she ran around smelling like focaccia for the rest of the day.`

She`s proven herself to be an absolute darling in the home. She`s looking for a dedicated family that will nurture her with patience and treats. We`re confident this special flower girl will blossom in the right home. Come in and meet her today!

More about this shelter

Founded in 1868, The SF SPCA is a community-supported nonprofit dedicated to saving, protecting and caring for cats and dogs. We do this through immediate care of animals that are homeless, ill or in need of an advocate, but we also work to educate the community, reduce the number of unwanted kittens and puppies through spaying/neutering, and improve the quality of life for animals and their companions.
