Meet Rufus Lucas! This sweet puppy is as smart as he is handsome! He is only about 1 year old and weighs about 50 pounds. We aren’t exactly sure what breed mix he is, we think maybe a shepherd and maybe some pit bull terrier, but do we know he’s super cute! He does great on a leash and he already knows some basic commands like sit, crate, and he knows how to shake your hand! He is very treat motivated and eager to please, so we know anything you want to teach him he will learn! He loves all other doggy and human friends of all ages, but would do best in a cat free home. He is a perfectly behaved boy when left home alone in his crate, and is housebroken.

Our adoption fee is $525. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses.
All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed.
