S.T.A.R.T. received notification of several kittens romping around a back yard with their feline mother. It took several days of trapping but one by one the litter was rescued and mom was TNR’d. The kittens came in nervous and hissing, which of course was expected. Born in mid June, 2022, we knew they were young enough to acclimate to humans and life indoors. Fuzz is a grey and white boy who likes to make his presence known with a hiss! He is still slowly learning to trust and needs his space. He will give you a hard time, tracking him down, but he melts once you pick him up. You can actually feel the stress leave his body once he is in your arms. He really enjoys being held, he just doesn’t know it yet or at least he doesn’t want YOU to know it yet! A buddy would definitely help in his transition to a new home.
Fuzz is vaccinated, altered, FeLV/FIV tested negative and microchipped. Save The Animals Rescue Team, (S.T.A.R.T.) is a non-profit humane organization, founded by Annette Lamberti, that rescues stray, abandoned, injured, and abused kittens, puppies, cats, and dogs. The animals rescued are examined by a veterinarian, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and placed in one of our volunteer foster homes. Since S.T.A.R.T. does not have a shelter facility, these animals remain in our foster care until they are adopted. So many of these unfortunate animals are victims of pet overpopulation, therefore, this life-saving work is critical!!
It is our mission to prevent cruelty, promote spay/neuter, and to encourage awareness through education, while also teaching respect for all animals and the environment they live in. S.T.A.R.T. is a 501 (c)(3) private non-profit organization relying on and supported by tax-deductible donations, grants and group fund raising.
