Virginia delivered 9 healthy babies - 5 boys and 4 girls. They are the cutest ever!!. She is being such a great mama.
Once the puppies are weaned, Virginia will start her heartworm treatment and get all her vetting done.
Puppies are 3 weeks old as of October 6th. Look at their profiles. How can you resist those little faces.
Wed Sept 14, Virginia started having her babies
This precious Mama (Virginia) is going to need all our help. Owners abandoned her and left her on her own. She was roaming the streets until she was able to be trapped.
Monday 8/29, she went for her first vet visit She handled all the poking and prodding like a champ. We got her as much of the basic vetting as we could... for now.
By this time, it was too late. Virginia was already homeless and pregnant. We fixed that by getting her safe with current temp foster. On August 31st, she will go to a birthing medical foster, where she will more than likely start having her babies right away.
Bad news, Virginia is very heartworm positive. We are doing everything we can to prepare for her delivery and praying everyone will be ok. This is going to be a very long and expensive road.
Can you please help? PLEASE. My heart is praying overtime for this little family
