Hi, I'm Bunny! Funny story about my name, wanna hear it?! I came to Pet Angel as a transfer from Saginaw County. When I was surrendered to Saginaw County, my former owners wrote down on the paper that my name was Bunny and I was a girl. Well, when Pet Angel got me, they didn't physically look at my back end to check. I'm 9 years old, and the paper says I'm a fixed girl, so they just went with it! When Pet Angel took me to our vet for my dental work, the vet discovered the truth- I'M A FIXED BOY! And I have, indeed, been a fixed boy this entire time!! We're pretty sure my former owners thought I was a girl for some reason?! Nope- I'm a boy! A boy named Bunny! Since I'm 9 years old, I know and answer to my name so the Angel's decided not to change it, that would just be confusing! So yeah- that's the story about how I had my gender reveal party after my 9th birthday!
Well anyway, HI! I'm super excited to be up for adoption because I really like attention! I always am asking for pets and attention by meowing, except my meows sound like "honk! honk!" The Angels say it's cute! I just LOVE people so much, I always want to be close to people and will follow you around all over, rubbing up against your leg, honking, asking for pets. Beside's being the biggest fan of humans, I also have grown quite fond of my roommate, Sonny! We are caught snuggling together and napping almost every day (but I always deny it when the volunteers say "are you guys snuggling?!") I would love to have a home with a kitty that wants to snuggle (maybe with Sonny?!)
Did I mention I'm special needs? Don't let that scare you, it's nothing bad!! I'm just a little different than the other kitties, and people seem to always think that's bad! It isn't! I have two different conditions: Periodontal disease that affects my mouth and I am blind in my left eye!! I had a dental in June '22, and am missing most of my teeth! I don't need anything additionally done at this time, but I do smack my lips and roll my tongue regularly. Kind of like when your grandma isn't wearing her dentures. Additionally, I was born blind in my left eye. It is hazy, and just looks different! I don't notice a difference, because it's been like this my whole life. I doesn't require any special accommodations or vet care at this time, but my family needs to be aware that I may later in life, and is willing to commit to caring for me if I ever need extra vet care later down the line!
Due to being blind in one eye, I am looking for a strictly indoor only home! I would love one with no dogs or young children, but would do amazing with older kids and would actually prefer a home with another kitty! I am fixed, microchipped, up to date on all my shots, and have tested negative for both FIV and FELV! I have waited 9 whole YEARS to find my forever family, are you the one I've been waiting for?!
