Meet Lettuce!
This little lady is a big ball of love. She loves attention and will roll over for belly rubs. She also frequently tries to escape her room to be with the big dog in her foster home
She came to the rescue after she was found outside with her brothers Tomato and Bacon. They were about 4 weeks old and they have had quite the journey since then! They were born sometime around the end of March 2022.
They were diagnosed with feline coronavirus a few weeks after coming to us. Don't worry! Its not the same as the human coronavirus. It only causes mild symptoms such as slightly loose stool. However, in a small percentage of cats, the virus can develop into FIP, which currently doesn't have any widely available cures in the United States. Usually if it develops into FIP it does so before the age of two.
Due to them shedding the virus in their stool, they should only be adopted into households with no cats or together. The virus cannot transfer to dogs, and lettuce LOVES the big dog in her foster home!
Lettuce has been spayed, she is fully up to date on all age appropriate vaccines, and she has been dewormed and microchipped.
