Shortstack was rescued by a Good Samaritan from a KFC parking lot in La Mirada in January of 2022. Two other rabbits were also dumped/rescued with him.
Shortstack is a dwarf/Dutch mix and weighs right about two pounds. He's a tiny little guy with a big personality! Dare I say he possibly has a Napoleon complex?
Shortstack needs an adult adopter with prior rabbit experience. He can be a fiesty little dude and can nip at times if you catch him off guard. I’ve learned to simply wrap him in a blanket to pick him up and then he’s just fine. He will even delight you with lots of teeth chattering making you wonder why he puts up such a fuss at times!
He definitely enjoys snuggles and petting. And he really wants to love you and interact with you. He just needs that patient, rabbit-savvy person to continue to soothe his fears so he can keep learning that he doesn’t have to be such a stinker!
Who knows what terror he may have experienced before he was heartlessly abandoned to fend for himself? He has excellent litter box habits and a robust appetite for such a small fry!
Shortstack needs to live indoors either: 1) in an x-pen enclosure or homemade DIY wire grid system 2) in a room or a section of a room, or 3) free roaming. A cage/hutch is not recommended unless the door is open and an x-pen can be placed around it.
Please be over 21 if inquiring about a rabbit.
Shortstack can be seen by appointment in Lake Elsinore after a questionnaire is completed or a phone consultation conducted. Delivery to the greater SoCal region available. His adoption fee is $60 which covers the cost of his neuter surgery. Any additional donations to keep the overflowing rescue afloat are deeply appreciated.
BENEFITS OF ADOPTION FROM KRIBS FOR KRITTERS RABBIT RESCUE:

Don't have the items you need to welcome a bunny to your home? No problem, I have low-cost x-pen enclosures, litter boxes, bunny litter, hay, food pellets and toys to make new bunny ownership easier for you. Your local big chain pet store is probably NOT the best place to buy rabbit supplies!
Or, if you prefer to get your bunny supplies ahead of time, PLEASE consult with me before you purchase them as I can direct you to the least expensive and most appropriate rabbit essentials.

More about this rescue
Kribs for Kritters primary focus is rescuing domestic rabbits that have been abandoned at parks, schools, golf courses, fitness trails and any other outdoor location. Kribs for Kritters also assists Golden View Farm Rabbit Rescue in their heroic efforts.
All rabbits are spayed/neutered prior to adoption.
We are both a rescue and a shelter. We have over 100 rabbits in our care. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, just ask. It is likely we have a bunny to suit your needs. New bunnies are being rescued every week. We don’t always have time/resources to post every bunny that crosses our path.
We have an exceptionally high success rate of bunny bonding on the very first date. So, if you’re looking for a mate for your existing bunny, give us a try.
Our operating costs are at least $1,000 per month so donations are always appreciated. Donations can be made to PayPal.me/kribsforkritters.
